Panic Sets In

I woke up at 4am yesterday in a panic. I still had to move my entire storage unit into my new classroom. I spent two half days in the room preparing it as much as I could. Tuesday my husband took the day off to help me move all my crap (in a 16 foot truck). It was so hot but we finished at noon. For lunch we ate out some awesome fatty food (hello cheat meal). Then my husband said he would spend the afternoon working in my room.

Um....I have taught for 6 years and this is the first time he has ever offered that. And you know what? He did a spectacular job. Including classroom set up. The panic started to subside by the end of the day.

Today I worked all day and still have TONS to do. I have only been able to workout once a day. Now panic is setting in that I will gain weight this week. The rest of this month will be this way. ***SIGH****

I also have super tight, sore muscles. Sucks. I stretch everyday and have been soaking in a hot bath but evidently it is not enough. Today I ordered a book on stretching. Hopefully that will help. If you have any advice on tight muscles, please share!!!

I hope you all are having a super great week!

Good news! All the work youve been doing means youve been moving and youre not just sitting down on the couch and watching T.V. So youre burning calories and keeping your metabolism going!

Monica's right: you're burning tons of calories moving around setting up the room.

Pre-fat camp, did you work out more than once a day? I feel like as you go back to full time work you might have to go down to just one a day workouts, but I think that's perfectly normal. Maybe you won't have weeks where you lose seven whole pounds, but you'll definitely still be losing with once a day workouts.

Good luck finishing up classroom set up!

How wonderful of your husband, and what a great memory you have now of working together.

Speaking of workout - WOW!

Good going, hubby! I am so glad he helped. I can't believe the amount of work that must be done in such a short period of time preparing the classroom. I would also hate to figure out how much money you spend out of pocket on your room. (Yes, I have many teachers in my family, so I do understand those woes.)

I have a stretching book and I use it a lot and I stretch a lot. I just wish I could get serious and get back in that exercise habit. Whoops.

I wouldn't worry too much about only one a day workouts once school is back in session. Don't forget you are a first grade teacher. I know from experience, as I'm a teacher too, that you will be on your feet all day moving around your classroom and school burning calories.

I don't know about your school but at mine the worry is the faculty room. It is always full of fattening goodies! That temptation can be so overpowering at times. But, I have resisted in the past and can resist again.

i think its time to remember to congratulate yourself EVERY MORNING on getting under 200 lbs this summer and completely changing your body. the fact that you're cutting back to basically what a normal person does not mean an automatic gain, it just means (most likely) a slower, more mellow battle than Fat Camp was. maybe let up on yourself a little, and shoot for .5 a week and i bet you'll end up pulling more.

You have such a great husband to help you out and take work off to help you. Glad that the panic is decreasing and you got some stuff done.

Thanks for the comment! You're always so positive and I love that about you! Doesn't surprise me at all that you're a teacher! Here's a great school year and an even hotter body by the end of it!!
